About Home-Start
“There is no rulebook for raising a family and sometimes it can seem overwhelming, particularly if your family is going through challenging times. Many parents need help, advice or support, especially during those early years when their children are young. This is when Home-Start Bristol can help, our trained volunteers are all parents themselves and understand the difficulties families may be facing. They can offer emotional and practical support to help families get back on track.”
Off to a flying start
With the first quarter being still very much in lockdown we’ve not been able to do as much as we’d hoped however that hasn’t stopped us raising a massive £2,000 of our £15,000 target. We’ve achieved this through a generous donation from our supplier Pure Technology along with our Cheltenham racing betting day. We asked a few of our clients and our team to choose a horse to bet on and all winnings would go to Home-Start. Unfortunately no one placed any bets on Jack our Operations Manager…

Now that the world is opening up again we’re excited to be planning our next charity event to stay on track to hitting our £15k target. Next we’ll be embarking on the following:
“The Fan Dance” Charity Walk – We’re going to be taking on the Fan Dance Race, a 24km (15mile) walk over Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons.
