Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (dependant on experience)

With Car Allowance of £250 per month on top

WestSpring are growing IT support provider for small to medium sized business across the South West. Based in Hawkfield Business Park in Bristol, we are a small and friendly team that thrive on providing excellent service to our clients.

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced technical consultant to join our growing team. The role offers an exciting opportunity for someone to grow with the company.

WestSpring is a service-led company that uses cutting edge modern technology. Working closely with our directors, this highly dynamic role will give you the opportunity to get involved with a range of tasks, meaning each day is different. With a high level of responsibility, the role will have a direct impact on the business.

Responsibilities

The Technical Consultant role is predominantly client facing, and will involve the following:

  • Technical proactive onsite client days
  • Working with clients to meet targets
  • Striving to improve the client’s infrastructure
  • Client Project Planning & Delivery
  • Working with our client’s account manager to meet and deliver IT delivery plans.
  • Supporting the service desk
  • Being a point of escalation for the service desk
  • Reactive onsite client visits
  • Helping train and develop junior team members

Skills & Experience

  • Office 365, SharePoint, Intune.
  • Server Migrations
  • Virtualisation Technologies
  • Backup Solutions – knowledge of Datto would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Network and Firewall skills – knowledge of WatchGuard’s would be advantageous.
  • Cloud technologies and implementations – knowledge of Azure or AWS would be advantageous but not essential

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role with experience of delivering onsite consultancy.
  • Professional, friendly approach with the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • A team player
  • Punctual and good attention to detail.
  • Well organised and excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Office 365, SharePoint, Intune.
